WHAT IS GREEN LIPPED MUSSEL
The Green-Lipped Mussel, also known as the greenshell mussel or (Perna canaliculus), differs from other mussel species due to its dark brown to green shell, and the green lip it has around the edge of its shell. It is one of the largest mussel species able to grow up to 24 centimeters in length. This mussel is found throughout the coastal waters of New Zealand.
