Precautions / Contra-indications:
Patients on prescription medicines, including warfarin, should consult their doctor before using this product.
Not suitable for patients with over-active thyroid (hyperthyroid) or goitre where additional iodine may cause an increase in symptoms.
May cause hyperactivity in patients already receiving thyroid hormone therapy.
Possibility of interaction with some medicines, especially thyroid hormones.
Do not use during pregnancy and breastfeeding without medical advice.
High intakes of brassica family foods such as cabbage, which contain goitrogenic compounds, may interefere with the uptake of iodine.
